Made for years 1949 to 1955, Duncan Skill award single-wing patches, like the one in this exhibit, were more common than double-wing patches. Double-wing -- or Expert -- patches were the next step up for a player to earn. And, like so many Duncan patches, these winged varieties came in several different color combinations.

This 1955 Skill Award wing patch is very difficult to find. It was also the last year that Duncan made single wing award patches.
