A large Official Cheerio Champion double wing patch from the early to mid 1950s. The patch is 262 mm wide x 130 mm tall. Cheerio award patches were almost always made from felt and were not color-fast. As a general rule, you should never try to clean a Cheerio felt patch.
This patch is considered version 2. Note that "CHEERIO" is embroidered in block lettering. Version 1 has italicized lettering, instead. A very subtle difference.
See version 1 of this patch being worn by Canadian yo-yo demonstrator Allan Howard Graff circa 1952.
Compare this patch with the Cheerio Contest Winner patch also from the early 50s.
