This yo-yo is a prototype Bull Dog from the Chico Yo-Yo Company of Chico, California. "We only made a few of these (maybe ten or less ) before we went into full production. [The prototype] was the first yo-yo that we ever made as a new company."
The 6061 aluminum Bull Dog was manufactured by Pro2Pro Machining Services of Chico, California in 2009. The pictures in this exhibit show the yo-yo as a prototype, exclusively. That is, the ball bearing axle and silicone had not even been installed by Chico Yo-Yo Company. I added the size C bearing in one picture to show what the prototype would have looked like with it installed.
The Bull Dog was the freshman release of Chico Yo-Yo Company and their most successful and popular model. This prototype was designed and manufactured entirely in the USA.
