CYYC's (Chico Yo-Yo Company, started by Thad Winzenz in 2009 out of Chico, California) freshman model was the "Bull Dog" in 2009. It quickly sold out and was soon followed by the "Del Toro" and "Route 66" models.
Shortly thereafter, in 2010, CYYC re-released a "very hot" limited version of the Bull Dog: 5 Alarm. Its aluminum body had an overall matte finish (shiny versions were also made) while the detailed anodizing was masked off several times by hand to create a bold flames pattern of black, yellow, and red. No two yo-yos of the 80 that were made are identical. Today, in 2023, it is still recognized as one of the most unique and visually striking anodizing jobs ever created on a full production metal yo-yo.
Uses a size C ball bearing axle and came with an extra set of slim (19mm) response pads.
Original retail price: $105 US.
