Another one-trick pony, Turning Point's Kerberos was first released in Japan at the Tohoku Yo-Yo Club Summit BREAKTHROW 2019 event for their annual Run the Dog competition. Say what?
While you can use the Kerberos yo-yo to perform any variety of string tricks, its design was optimized for Run the Dog competitions at Breakthrow events in Japan.
I have seen two variations of Run the Dog competitions. One variation is throwing a "Walk the Dog" but removing the string from your finger and letting the yo-yo take off across the floor. The yo-yo that travels the straightest line wins. The second variation involves the player barely touching the spinning yo-yo to the floor, and then running (or walking) with the "walking dog" in front of them, trying to guide the yo-yo in as straight a line as possible (it is harder than you think).

The Kerberos yo-yo was designed by Turning Point to improve straight-line Walk the Dog performance. It uses an aluminum body along with POM (Polyoxymethylene) plastic rims for quiet performance while it is spinning on a floor. The 78 gram weight ensures a long and strong sleeping yo-yo for running (or walking) the dog. Notice the grooved rims. The grooves improve the "dog" walking in a straight line.
