The original YoYoFactory 44 was first released in 2010. Eleven years later, in 2021, YoYoFactory resurrected the 44 with a new shape, and new specifications and anodizing (use the Compare feature to see the differences). It was really two different yo-yo's, identical in name only. Playing off of the "44" name, the yo-yo's weight was manufactured to be 44 grams, and its selling price was set at $44 US. The 2021 version was initially pre-released in a raw, tumbled form as seen in this exhibit. A little more than a month later, the production version was released in purple and pink anodizing and black and white speckled anodizing.

From yoyofactory.com/amayzing2021:
This product will come with a code for 50% [off of] a production 44. Code will be single use 1 time and matched with buyer.

RAW, tumbled production version of the upcoming 44, a 44gm undersized yo-yo.
