A 1995 Yomega Brain with glow in the dark body and red and blue plastic actuator arms.

The Yomega Brain, also known as "The Yo-Yo with a Brain," was first released in 1984. It quickly became a worldwide best-seller for Yomega, putting the company on the map in the yo-yo industry. The iconic yo-yo featured a centrifugal clutch system that automatically returned the yo-yo to the thrower's hand when it began to lose spin. It's an excellent choice for beginners, helping them develop a strong throw and grasp the concept of the most important trick: The Sleeper.

The Brain's distinctive "Convex" or "Standard" body shape, resembling the Modified shape used by the ProYo, contributed to its popularity. Over the years, Yomega has continued to innovate, introducing variants like the Power Brain (2001) and the Gamma Brain Wing (2011) to enhance the auto-return experience.
