The venerable Duncan Tournament from the late 1970s, early 1980s (based on the use of a UPC code on the card back). To my knowledge, this version was the last time Duncan released their Tournament model, after more than 40 years of continuous production in wood first, then plastic. Oddly enough, neither the 1977 Duncan Action Toys catalog, nor the 1979 Duncan Toys catalog picture this Tournament yo-yo even though its white card with green/blue/black stripes on the front packaging is from those time periods. In its place, Duncan promoted the Imperial model.

A fixed, metal axle yo-yo, the name Tournament is now synonymous with any yo-yo that has a similar profile or shape.

Original retail price: $1 US.
