| The Duncan Professional, licensed by Bandai under the name Hyper Pro was a model in the Hyper Yo-Yo series in Japan from 1997. It was released about the same time as the Hyper Wheel yo-yo.
As with the Duncan Professional, this version featured a thin plastic, translucent blue body (know as a slimline) with a fixed metal axle, and was designed primarily for looping. Both sides of the yo-yo feature a clear sidecap with a paper insert between the cap and body. The skull design on the paper insert definitely stands out and is not found on other Hyper Yo-Yos in the product lineup.

The Hyper-Pro came in three colors: translucent blue (seen in this exhibit), translucent red, and solid black. All three colors used the same skull sidecaps.

This model is fairly challenging to find nowadays because production of it was discontinued within months after its initial release. It also had a very limited distribution in Japan. The successor to the Hyper Pro, also in 1997, was the Hyper Millennium, which was identical in design, but sold under a new name and new sidecap design.

Compare with the Hyper Yo-Yo Detective Conan version from 1998.
