The Yoyorecreation Quad Four revisited one of YYR’s most unusual earlier designs: the 44 Clash Cube, a 2010 collaboration model created for tournament play. The original yo-yo developed a following among dedicated players in Japan and overseas, partly because of its distinctive 44mm diameter and 44mm width.

At the time of the original release, those equal dimensions were experimental. Fourteen years later, Yoyorecreation used its accumulated design experience to reinterpret the concept for modern play. Released on September 27, 2024, the Quad Four retained the same 44mm by 44mm proportions, giving players another opportunity to experience the model's unusual compact, cube-like feel.

The yo-yo included Yoyorecreation’s economy DS, or Double Straight, ball bearing axle as standard equipment.
