From yoyofactory.com:
"YoYoFactory's StarLite is one of the first fully functional modern performance glow in the dark yo-yos. Like its brothers, the Protostar and the Northstar, the StarLite features a wide shape, top of the line Center Trac Bearing, silicone response, and 100% polyester string. Under a black light or in a dark room, the Starlite is one of the brightest glowing yo-yos you have ever seen.
From yoyorewind.com:
"YoYoFactory - StarLite
A glow in the dark Protostar! The metal rim weight has also been changed into phosphorescent plastic, so the entire yo-yo lights up in the dark! Great for nighttime walks down the street, or just practicing in a dark room. It doesn't have to be pitch black to activate the glow effect, even just a hazy sky can give this yo-yo all it needs to brighten your day.
The glow this yo-yo emits is very different from LED models. Even though the rim weight is made from a different material, the total weight is almost the same, preserving the Protostar's amazing abilities. Furthermore, it's truly an all-plastic Protostar, giving it yet another point of appeal to Death to Metal fans.
Please note that the current run of Starlites have very slight variations in weight from one yo-yo to the next, but they are all about 66 grams."
Despite the model being the StarLite, the box came with the YoYoFactory Protostar - John Ando edition trick sheet.
Released November 2010.
