Here’s the quick way to tell the two yo-yos apart:
Protostar • Clear/transparent polycarbonate.
• Metal weight rings visible under the rims.
• Heavier feel (~66–67 grams), more rim-weighted.
• Cap/engraving: "Protostar" (John Ando signature on many runs).
StarLite • Glow-in-the-dark opaque plastic (no metal rings).
• Slightly lighter (~64–65 grams), a bit faster/floatier.
• Cap/engraving: "StarLite" / "Glow" variants.
Shared DNA: same profile/size, C-size Center Trac bearing, CBC 19mm slim response pads, bind-return play.
