The Duncan 1979 product catalog. This year marked Duncan's 50th anniversary (1929-1979) campaign.

A few highlights from this milestone year and catalog include the following:

• Debut of the innovative Duncan World Class yo-yo.
• Debut of the short-lived Duncan String Pak Butterfly yo-yo.
• Debut of the Duncan Wheels yo-yo.
• Inauguration of the Duncan National Yo-Yolympics program and contest.
• Introduction of Reslon coated axles on all Duncan yo-yos (except the Junior model).
• The short-lived Swivel-Eze finger control accessory.
• Launch of the Duncan Yo-Yolympics Champion Set that included three different Duncan yo-yos (Butterfly, Satellite [lighted], and Professional) and the Duncan Yo-Yo Trick Book.
• Descriptions of Duncan's various yo-yo programs, and pictures of Duncan yo-yo professionals, featuring a few well known personalities such as Donna Walsh, George Humphreys, and Michael Caffrey who left Duncan in the early 80s and went on to invent The Yo-Yo with a Brain in 1984 for his new company Yomega.
