The RD-2 was the standard shaped version of the popular concave RD-1. Both models were an attempt to redefine the perfomance of the traditional wooden yo-yo. With bearing, response system, and stabilized wood body, these were true High Performance wooden models.
The RD-2 was the general release of this design, after the special release of the limited TK-60. Pictured here is an laminated wood version of the RD-2 in the popular Rainbow wood. Laminated woods not only made for interesting colors, but improves weight distribution in wood yo-yos.
