The Sengoku Hattori from Japan was a bi-metal yo-yo featuring 7065 aluminum body and gold anodized stainless steel rims. Uses a full size C string-centering ball bearing axle and 19mm response pads. The model seen in this exhibit is from the third run of Hattori's. See a first run Hattori here.

From yoyorewind.com:
"A super rare design, the bimetal Hattori is modeled after a shuriken (ninja throwing star).

Named for the famous sengoku-era ninja, Hattori Hanzo, the Hattori is a bimetal yo-yo you can actually look through as it spins! This kind of design, with actual holes cut in the sides of the yo-yo, is super rare AND quite difficult to pull off. But the negative space made by the holes isn't merely for show, it has a diabolical purpose to it! Cutting the pattern out of the side is even more effective at removing weight than slimming down the thickness of the sides. Combined with the stainless steel rims, Hattori exquisitely balances stability and power during play. You really do need to feel it for yourself!

Another cool visual effect is the 'transparent metal yo-yo', as the spinning makes the ring where the pattern is appear to be see-through. A very rare design that resulted in a superb throw.

*because of the hub design, this yo-yo is not made for fingerspin/top-on style tricks.

*play with caution, long hair may get caught in the holes, resulting in a bad time."

From yoyoexpert.com:
"As with all Sengoku yo-yos, their latest design pays homage to a famous samurai: Hattori Hanzo. With a resemblace of a Shuriken, this design was an obvious choice for Hattori Hanzo who is thought of as the one of the most famous and most bad-ass Ninjas from the Sengoku era!

The Hattori is probably the most extreme design in the Sengoku lineup. The holes cut into the yo-yo are not cosmetic and they are not some gimmick; They are there for weight distribution and paired with the stainless steel rings they offer some of the best rim weight you can achieve in yo-yo design! The perfect blend of aesthetics and performance!

The cutout design also provides less resistance when changing position, especially in horizontal play, which gives the Hattori an extremely stable and maneuverable feel through complex combos. The Steel rings give it a serious spin power to compensate the air resistance generated from spinning, which makes a pleasant wind noise in play that makes it that much more fun to throw! AND, thanks to the cut-out design, the yo-yo is see-through in play!"
