A Genuine (plastic) Russell Yo-Yo YoYoGuy.com Red Head Looper. I typically do not collect Russell yo-yos because of the monotonous Coca-Cola/soda pop themed advertising on their yo-yos, year after year, decade after decade, but the design on the side of this yo-yo was unique and different. And, it's made in Bangladesh! The inspiration for the imagery of a person yo-yoing on the side of the yo-yo was taken by yoyoguy.com from the late French artist Raymond Gid. In 1930, Mr. Gid created an art deco lithograph poster titled, Duncan YoYo. The original size of the poster was 80 cm X 60 cm (31.4" x 23.6") and was printed in Paris, France by Bedos & Cie. The image on this yo-yo is an altered rendition that loosely resembles a figure from Mr. Gid's poster.
The yo-yo itself is the typical bulge-faced Russell yo-yo with a plastic body and wooden axle.
