This is a one of my favorite Freehand Zeros because of the unique color. And it is hard to describe. The Polycarbonate plastic is sort of a light blue pearlescent AND Glow in the Dark too. One website described it as Jellyfish blue, so I'm going with that. They came fully packaged in the standard Freehand Zero packaging. I estimate at least 200 were made, but exact quantities are unknown.
This special edition Freehand Zero was made for Project Team Top. The team was formed with the goal of victory at the 2000 World Championships. The international team included Hironori Mii, Yu Kawata, Tommy, MAYA, Hiroyuki Suzuki, and Augie Fash. The team website is : www.yo-yo.jp/top .
But the main reason this one is here, check out the response view. So many interesting modifications and changes could be made to the Freehand Zero. This one has been machined around the axle for silicon grooves. This was a great mod, because you could play it either with silicon, recessed stickers, or friction stickers. | |
