The Japanese version of the Playmaxx Bumblebee. Made by Playmaxx in the USA and licensed by Bandai for sale in Japan only. Came with the cork break pad response system, ball bearing axle, and the yellow/black string that is synonymous with the Bumblebee yo-yo. The yo-yos were originally shipped to Bandai in the clear plastic bags like the one seen in this exhibit. Bandai then sold them in their own branded clam shell packaging that had Japanese text.
In 2021, Spingear's website sold "new" old stock of this model for $26. They came in translucent red (seen in this exhibit), blue, yellow, purple, and half yellow half black.
