Duncan Jeweled Tournament Yo-Yo Tops with four jewels on side A and four jewels on side B. It's difficult to find these jeweled models with a straight line of four jewels added to the area in the middle of the stamped imprint. In almost all cases, the four jewels are spaced perfectly and in a straightline, but the entire row is usually slightly angled. But this natural wood Tournament has the jewels at just a very slight angle. The jewels on this one are in almost a straightline across the face of the stamp; very good.
Stamped with "Jeweled" on the face. It is hard to find these in mint condition. This one is about a 7 or 8 out of 10.
From the Duncan Jeweled Tournament reproduction card:
"The original Duncan Jeweled Tournament was one of the most coveted yo-yos of the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. Although the Jeweled Tournament began production shortly before WWII, the word "Jeweled" did not appear on the yo-yo until 1953. Originally available only as a contest prize, the Jeweled Tournament–even after it was made available for sale–was rare treasure, coveted by boys and girls alike.
