A special edition of the Duncan FreeHand Zero with the 5A star logo and a counterweight image in the center of the star, designed by yo-yo professional Steve Brown. Five A or FreeHand is a style of yo-yo play that uses a counterweight attached to one end of the string, opposite the spinning yo-yo.

Read more about how 5A play was invented by Steve Brown in 1999.

The Yo-yo and method for using a yo-yo (aka Freehand) was covered by US patent 6371824B1 which expired April 28, 2020 after twenty years.

Opposite side of the yo-yo featured the Freehand logo on the side cap.

Original retail price: $18 US.

On October 9, 2020 Duncan re-released this model again, but in aluminum and with a white star, and no Duncan logo. It retailed for $60 US.
