This is the oldest Eagle patch from Cheerio, I was told from the 40's. It's also a velour patch, fuzzy, like the giant Duncan Eagle patches. Typically, instructor patches were worn by Cheerio demonstrators for advertising, and not given away as an award at contests. This makes all instructor patches rare, but this one is very hard to find.

It's also another patch where a template was used, from the collection of Barney Ryan, Cheerio/Hi-Ker demonstrator.

This is a BLANK Instructor patch. "Instructor" has been added, but the company has not. That is because Cheerio also owned an unpromoted line, Hi-Ker. By leaving these templates blank, the company name could be added for each promotion as needed. Notice the holes in the template have been punched for "Cheerio" to be sewn in.
