Sponsors and Curators
The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a labor of love, and we would not be able to stay up-to-date with exhibits without the support of our sponsors and curators. Big thanks go to One Drop Design and Duncan for supplying us with their latest models, YoYoExpert for their help and support, and to Cody Orr, TotalArtist and YoYoBrothers™ for allowing us to use their collections!
If you're a manufacturer, or just a big collector and you want to help support the Museum drop me at line at chimera@yoyomuseum.com

The Alchemy cuLater
The cuLater was from the short-lived (less than one year) Alchemy Yo-Yos. The cuLater was an undersized, but scaled-up version of their CU that sported a print of a model's eye on the face of one halve. Essentially, Alchemy took the basic design of the CU, and then enlarged all the dimensions by 1.3157mm. So, 50mm diameter, 39mm width, and made it out of aluminium (as opposed to stainless steel for the CU). They kept the weight at 64.25 gms, added a size A (5x11x5) ball bearing axle which gave a 4.2mm gap. They also added Alchemy-branded Vapor response pads for this dead response yo-yo. Body was bead-blasted for a smooth grinding surface and anodized in black. The green cat-eye logo is pad printed. Came with an Alchemy-branded linen pouch, two green polyester strings, and an Alchemy-branded green box with removable lid to hold all the contents.
Alchemy began taking pre-orders for the cuLater on February 29, 2008. The yo-yo was retailed by the beginning of April 2008. Alchemy Yo-Yos officially released four models during their approximately ten month existence: CU, Nimbus, Silk, and finally, cuLater.

About Alchemy Yo-Yos
Alchemy Yo-Yos, started in August 2007, was not so much a yo-yo manufacturer as it was the name of a personal project started by three individuals: Eric Wolff, Rob Tsou, and Jaco Greeff. While it's not clear exactly who designed the cuLater in this exhibit, master yo-yo modder and yo-yo creator Eric Wolff designed only one yo-yo during his time on the Alchemy project: the Silk made out of Delrin.
According to their now defunct website, "AlchemyYoYos [was] a research and development project to create unique and creative yo-yos and accessories to fill needs that modern players might not even know exist. Our designs are created by some of the best and most original modders and designers who wish to bring their ideas to players around the world. We hope we can expand on what you already do."
Their website was broken down into the following labeled categories:
Elements
