The Pocket Monster Net Ball that doubles as a yo-yo, manufactured by Bandai of Portugal. Unlike other Poke Ball yo-yos produced over the years, this model was a dedicated yo-yo with no interchangeable parts—it is permanently designed for yo-yo use and cannot be converted back into a traditional Poke Ball. The yo-yo features a transaxle system and starburst response, emphasizing novelty over performance with limited functional playability.

Part of a series of three Poke Ball yo-yos from Portugal, the collection includes the Dive Ball, Net Ball (featured in this exhibit), and Safari Ball. The Net Ball is particularly notable for its intended use in the Pokémon universe, where it’s designed to capture Water-type legendary Pokémon such as Kyogre and Palkia. Compared to Ultra Balls, Net Balls offer a cost-effective option with an enhanced catch rate for Water-types.
