Made by the Apparel Division of Bandai Co. Ltd. in 1998, the four-colored U.S.A. Hard Gear patch showcased one of more than 20 different Hyper Yo-Yo-themed iron-on patches that were sold at Bandai trick certification centers inside retail stores. It's possible that these patches were also used as prizes in yo-yo contests. Sometimes the patch highlighted a particular yo-yo model that was licensed by Bandai from either Yomega or Playmaxx of the U.S.A.
The patch was not suitable for waterproof items, items the stretched a lot, or items with hair or feathers sticking up. Depending on the size of the patch and number of colors used in it, the prices ranged from 100Â¥ to 500Â¥.
