From the Duncan 1979 product catalog:
"This gift set contained one Professional model Yo-Yo with a Yo-Yolympics insert in each side, one Butterfly Yo-Yo for string tricks, one Satellite Yo-Yo with bulb and batteries for lighted tricks, and one 48-page booklet illustrating 36 advanced Yo-Yo tricks. Each Yo-Yo nests into a plastic tray, and is exposed through the clear window of the colorfully printed package. The Yo-Yolympics Championship Set will be presented to the nine Regional winners of the National Yo-Yolympics, so it is truely the 'set of the champions'."
The official Championship Set of the Duncan Yo-Yolympics included the following:
• Butterfly - one yellow body/orange side cap Butterfly. An all-time favorite among yo-yo enthusiasts. The unique design plus the Reslon (read: plastic) coated axle makes it great for string tricks.
• Professional - one white body Professional with blue logo and Duncan Yo-Yolympics in red text. The yo-yo of champions in here in the new, slim-line pro model, with the official Yo-Yolympics emblem on both sides. This yo-yo also has the Reslon (plastic) coated axle for less string wear and quicker reaction time.
• Satellite - one translucent orange Satellite. Centrifugal force of the Butterfly yo-yo turns on battery-powered bulb for light patterns in the dark. Two AAA batteries included. Super fun day or night, plus longer spin with the Reslon coated axle.
• Official Duncan Yo-Yolympics Trick book. This colorful 48-page trick book has 36 separate tricks, with proficiency ratings for each trick, as recognized by the Yo-Yo Players International. The self-teaching format is fully illustrated for quick and easy learning.
