The story of Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. began in 1996, debuting on Cannery Row in Monterey, California, as the first and only casual restaurant chain based on a motion picture property (Forrest Gump). Since its inception, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. has grown into a globally-recognized brand with 16 international locations throughout Asia, Europe and Mexico and 22 locations in the United States.
The yo-yo in this exhibit was bought from a seller in Bordon, United Kingdon. As of 2025, this model of yo-yo was still available from several international sellers, albeit for costly shipping prices.
