Cherrio Bronze Award shield patch made out of rigid gray woven cloth and printed with orange ink. Patch is from the late 1950s or early 1960s and came from Canada. This version may have had a vinyl backing on it; you can see a faint outline of the adhesive in the "Patch back, large" image. The vinyl back meant you use a hot iron to apply it to a piecing of clothing, if so desired. In all likelihood, you had to iron the patch on the underside of the garment to avoid damaging the ink print.
It is more common to find the ink print poorly aligned on these patches. Finding patch prints that are centered properly top to bottom and left to right is more challenging to find.
