The BC Rainbow Yo fixed axle yo-yo made out of dyed, laminated maple wood. This version had an odd, alternate seal compared to the more commonly known seal on the other No. 49 Rainbow Yo in this museum. Was it a test piece? A prototype? A pre-production release? A production release? One can only hypothesize. Interestingly, the yo-yo came from an individual who lived in Aurora, New York, which is only about 130 miles west of Arcade, New York where BC/What's Next was located.
Came with one extra cotton string, a blue, velour, drawstring carrying pouch, and a trick sheet. Notice that "Rainbow Yo" is trademarked.
By the time No. 50 was released, "Yo" was dropped from the yo-yo's name.
Original retail price: $11 US. | |
