The undersized YoYoFactory Boss, version 1, was the signature yo-yo of Augie Fash, the 2004 US National 1A champion. Its size and shape are similar to the YoYoFactory 888 (888x) and Skyline models. However, the Boss had no hubstacks, making the center even lighter, and thus enabling for longer spins. Also, the sides were flattened, giving the yo-yo a simple, clean look. Released in August, 2009. Used a size C ball bearing axle and 19 mm response pads.
Compare with the Boss, version 2.
Original retail price: $65 US.
