Bandai's interpretation of the hi-tech steel yo-yo weapon used by a young Japanese girl named Saki Asamiya (also goes by "K") in the Japanese detective manga series called Sukeban Deka (translated as "Delinquent Girl Detective") from January 1976 to December, 1982. Saki is the bitter heroine of the series. She is a natural born fighter who enjoys getting into scuffles with various people. Saki is forced by police to become a undercover investigator. She never backs down and is very stubborn. Her main weapon is a steel yo-yo.

The very popular Sukeban Deka series was adapted into three live-action television series (1985-1987), an original video animation series (1991), and three feature films, the latest of which was released in 2006 as "Yo Girl Cop".

Bandai's release of the 1:1 scale yo-yo replica from the series also included a Sakura Badge Display yo-yo with a stylized gold cherry blossom emblem on it and a stainless steel yo-yo string. A replica 1/60th scale of the Tekkamen or Iron Mask that Saki was forced to wear early in the series is also included with the set.
