ZipLine Strings released the miniature Possum on October 26, 2024 at 17:30 MST.

The yo-yo was a collaboration effort between Jeremy Park, owner of ZipLine Strings, and his friend Terry Orchard. In 2019, ZipLine teamed up with Terry Orchard on a yo-yo project called "BMC", which sparked a deeper collaboration on some of Terry’s personal designs. Fast forward four years: after prototyping three designs and releasing sample runs, they presented the Possum. With its undersized diameter and stretched width, this rounded-over V shape offered a unique yo-yo playing experience. Its compact size and wide catch zone make it a fun and comfortable yo-yo to play with.

Terry's inspiration:
The Possum’s cutaway profile draws inspiration from the button noses and floppy ears of small mammals. Its small diameter makes it pocket-friendly and perfect for everyday carry.

Jeremy's take:
Unlike other undersized yo-yos, the Possum feels light and nimble on the string. Many compact yo-yos can feel heavy and clunky, but the Possum avoids that "brick-like" feel. It’s fast, forgiving, and has a surprisingly wide catch zone—making it both capable and, above all, a blast to play with!

The yo-yo included the following:

• 1x Possum yo-yo
• 1x Possum sticker
• 1x ZipLine Polyesque string in white

About ZipLine strings
ZipLine strings is a family-run business based in Nampa, Idaho. Jeremy Park started the company in 2017 out of a passion for yo-yos and the pursuit of creating high-quality, long-lasting polyester strings that offer unique performance compared to other strings on the market. The business is a collaborative effort, with Jeremy handling most of the design, testing, and production, while his wife Danielle and their two daughters, Kaylee and Adysen, assist with packaging, quality control, and adding personal touches to each order.

ZipLine strings is primarily known for crafting small-batch, handmade strings that cater to both casual players and enthusiasts, emphasizing quality over mass production. The company takes pride in its personal approach, making each order feel special through thoughtful presentation and attention to detail.
