A limited-edition version of Spin Gear's Starburst looping yo-yo, produced for the Tohoku Yo-Yo Club Summit – Break Throw. The model was released at the Break Throw event, held on September 23, 2019, at Hitachi Systems Hall on the second-floor Exchange Hall.
Break Throw featured several informal yo-yo games and skill challenges, including the following:
Gravity Pull 30 Second Challenge
A speed contest based on one of the most fundamental yo-yo techniques. Players competed to see how many gravity pulls they could complete in 30 seconds.
Paper Cup Knockout Contest
Players attempted to knock over as many of 20 paper cups as possible within three minutes. Participants took turns making one throw at a time, with the team’s total score determining the result.
Go Home the Dog
A playful variation on Walk the Dog. Players first performed Walk the Dog with the string removed from the finger, then guided the rolling yo-yo into a target area. Each target carried a point value, and the player’s score depended on where the yo-yo landed.
Rocket Relay
A team relay based on the Rocket trick. Team members lined up and passed the yo-yo by throwing a Rocket to the next player, who caught it and passed it along. Teams raced back and forth over a set distance, with points awarded to the first team to reach the goal.
Card Trick Battle
Players drew cards listing specific yo-yo tricks, then attempted to perform the trick shown. Successful attempts earned points. Three yo-yos were available for each trick, and the score varied depending on which yo-yo the player used.
The Starburst yo-yo features high-quality side caps decorated with UV printing.
