Spin Gear's Spin Gadget beginner yo-yo with ornamental gold chrome and silver logo.

From spingear.jp:
"The Spin Gadget was designed as an affordable, durable, and stylish yo-yo that remains easy for beginners to use. It features a plastic transaxle bearing that supports basic up-and-down play while also allowing longer spin times for learning simple string tricks.

The yo-yo can be disassembled, making it easier to remove a tangled string from the axle. This feature gives new players, young and old, a more forgiving experience as they learn basic throws and returns.

Its size and weight were carefully chosen for both children and adults. Drawing from modern competition yo-yos, the Spin Gadget used a wider body shape that reflects current yo-yo design trends as of 2020. The wider profile also helps players try tricks that require landing the yo-yo on the string.

Each Spin Gadget includes a string and a simple instruction manual, so players can begin using it right away. The manual also includes a QR code that links to online instructions, including guidance on attaching the string to a finger, throwing the yo-yo, and learning basic control.

The Spin Gadget was produced by Spin Gear, a Japanese skill-toy brand and shop based in Koenji, Tokyo. The brand was founded by Yo-Yo Master TAKA, whose more than 20 years of teaching experience helped shape the yo-yo's beginner-friendly design. Spin Gear also supported the release through online community activity, where players shared photos, videos, and basic yo-yo knowledge through the hashtag #SpinGadget.

The model was offered in several color variations, including clear colors, solid colors, and glow-in-the-dark versions. Depending on the model, some came in full packaging while some were sold polybagged only. The model in this exhibit came polybagged.

Spin Gear also produced related Spin Gadget pin badges."
