YoYo Llama Studio's first completely new Llama product in four years, the 2024 Fishing Top (or "Tsurigoma" in Japanese) is an interesting design that combines the joy of yo-yo with the traditional Japanese sake drinking experience.

From llama.thebase.in:
"Enjoy yo-yoing while you drink. Talk yo-yo with friends. When sake becomes part of the yo-yo scene, raise a cup with Tsurigoma.

The Tsurigoma guinomi (Sake cup used for drinking sake) is a yo-yo-inspired sake cup designed for comfort, stability, and enjoyment.

• Its "Dharma Form Round" shape makes it easy to hold while also symbolizing good luck.
• The "Finger Lock Bump" follows the natural position of the middle finger, giving the cup a secure, satisfying grip.
• At the bottom, the "Square Magnet Hole" lets the ring finger rest inside the base for added stability.
• The "Lip Fit Rim" has been carefully shaped to create a smooth, gentle drinking edge while preserving the natural feel of the wood.

Every detail was refined around one idea: how can a yo-yo enjoy sake in a way that feels both delicious and fun? The result is a strong, distinctive drinking experience worthy of the guinomi name.

The cups were produced by Imakiji Manufacturing in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. They were made using the company’s patented laminated MDF three-dimensional processing method, the same technology now used for many wooden bases in Tsugaru lacquerware, a traditional craft of the Tsugaru region.

The toy came with the warning, "Not intended for use as a yo-yo." Hmmm...

At some point in late 2024 or early 2025, the following YoYo Studio Ilama websites went offline:

These suspensions suggest that YoYo Studio Llama is no longer in business.
