The American Spinner Rhinestone Spinner (RS-1000) was a customized American Spinner standard Shocking Pink (SP-105) model with 12 rhinestones added to it, six each side. A beautiful one piece wood yo-yo with slightly bulging sides. Came in its own American Spinners yo-yo garage. Yo-yos were not intended for children under 12 years.

Only one other American Spinner model—the Diamond Special—was more expensive than the Rhinestone Spinner. The Diamond Special cost $20 for 28 hand set rhinestones plus the price of the yo-yo model you chose from their catalog.

Besides Tom Kuhn yo-yos, American Spinner yo-yos were consider high-end at the time in 1990. However, they were not as advanced as Kuhn yo-yos that featured a market-disrupting, patented take-apart design.
