Black plastic tournament body with gold foil seal of a cat's head. This model came with a different colored jewel on each halve. On one side was a large blue (sapphire) genuine glass "jewel" positioned in the center of the yo-yo face, where the cat's eye is located. The opposite side featured a large violet (Amethyst) jewel.

The 1977 Duncan Action Toys catalog characterized the blue, glass jewel as a Sapphire. The yo-yo used a fixed, metal axle, and a starburst response. Came with a cotton string.

This version is definitely after 1980, when UPC codes began to appear on products. Also, the card design is younger than the 1986 packaging.

Original retail price: $3 USD.
