The Hornet - Ryuya Kaneko/Mai Kurihara edition edition is a yo-yo from manufactured by Duncan Toys but sold by yoyomaniax.stores.jp of Japan. The yo-yo is for those who want to do loop-the-loop and two-handed looping, and original string tricks that have been around for more than 80 years.
Out-of-the-polybag, the YoYoManiax website recommended adding a small amount of looping oil (thick) to the ball bearing axle and using type 6 string (polyester 50%, cotton 50%).
This Hornet model was a YoYoManiax special order model that had an improved starburst height. The design on the caps was different on each side. Used a size E ball bearing axle, and one set of black metal spacers that were pre-installed.
This yo-yo model had no packaging from Duncan or YoYoManiax; instead, it was a polybagged bulk item.
