The plastic, fixed axle Joe Namath Official Professional YoYo made by Union Wadding Company of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and sold under their Festival yo-yo product line. The yo-yo was mounted on a full-color bubble blister card with a full-color image of a football on the front. The yo-yo featured a picture sticker on one halve of professional football quarterback Joe "Super Joe" Namath who was playing for the New York Jets in 1975-76 when this yo-yo was released.
The back of the card included the usual instructions on how to wind your yo-yo and how to hold it. It also included a coupon for the following limited time special offer:
"Through the purchase of his product, you are already entitled to a special discount at the JOE NAMATH INSTRUCTIONAL FOOTBALL CAMP! (archived July 9, 2017) Return above coupon to receive your free copy of the Joe Namath Instructional Football Camp brochure, and learn more about your special discount offer!"
The offer was good only in the United States and expired July 1, 1976.
The Joe Namath Instructional Football Camp, started in 1971, closed down in 2018 after 46 years (archived January 19, 2018) of operation.
