The UN-icorn 2024–or Unicorn Unknown–edition featured a blasted black body with black steel rings on the outer perimeter. This model included custom artwork on the rim and cup and came with black Witch caps and clear weight rings.
From mk1yoyos.com:
"The Unicorn is a cap-compatible bimetal that looks unassuming before being adorned with its 'horns', which transform it into a unique palm-spinning toy that still plays like a traditional unresponsive yo-yo.
The core idea behind the Unicorn was to make something that crossed the line between yo-yo and spin-top, making it ideal for palm-spins, walk-the-dog-sideways, and other fun ideas that aren’t always practical with other yo-yos.
MK1 Yo-Yos dug through the history of yo-yo/top combinations, sometimes playfully called “terror tops”, and came away with a shape and size that took those ideas into a more unresponsive direction.
The Unicorn features removable caps, letting you customize your yoyo like never before. These caps are cross-compatible with most Duncan-sized (48mm) yo-yo caps.
The UNicorn is a bi-metal yo-yo that fits 48mm diameter caps. It was designed specifically for tall, pointed caps which can be used for palm-spins, table spins, and so on. The caps can be installed with firm hand pressure.
• To remove the caps, unscrew the yo-yo and remove the axle carefully.
• Use an air pump with a small needle that can fit into the axle hoe. Wrap Teflon tape (or similar tape) around the needle so that it can screw in snugly into the yo-yo's threaded axle hole.
• Make sure that no people or pets are nearby, as the cap may pop off at high speed!
• Pump air into the yo-yo until the cap pops off."
Accessories included one set (2) of black Witch Caps (weight of each cap was different), one set (2) of clear weight Rings, two brand stickers, one white string, and instruction sheet for removing caps from yo-yo.
