The Duncan Freehand PC 2023 edition was Duncan's first polycarbonate version of the Freehand. The clear, frosted Freehand seen in this exhibit debuted exclusively for sale at the 2023 World Yo-Yo Contest in Osaka, Japan, August 18-20, 2023. Several weeks later, this model, along with four other colors (yellow, pink, red, and blue) went on sale publicly at various webstores around the world on September 7, 2023, 20:00 MST. For some reason, this clear, frosted model sold out long before any of the colored polycarbonate models. This model's sidecaps were identical on both sides.
From yoyostorerewind.com:
"Duncan - Freehand PC
Freehand made of machined PC (polycarbonate).
There are various versions of the Freehand. This Freehand is a version with a machined polycarbonate body.
Because polycarbonate is harder than POM, the Freehand is very responsive and moves briskly. This plastic model has a pleasant feeling of being able to move as you want."
Compare to the Duncan Freehand POM (Delrin) that was released at the same time.
