From yoyorewind.com:
"YoYoFactory - ONEstar
This new ONEstar is the renewal model of the very popular original, which is many peoples' first yo-yo and has helped so many young players step up to bind responsive play. It's an improvement to make it even easier than before to advance your skills.
This version was designed for the beginner, and is set to tug response out-of-the-box so you can quickly practice your first throws. Even if the yo-yo starts to slow down and die, you can easily get it to return to your hands thanks to the 'Half and Half Pad' response system. This gives you a good tight wind-up that means your next throw will be good and solid. These are the foundations of good tricks.
The ONEstar is a 'wing-type' body, which makes it easy to mount the spinning yo-yo on its string. This ability means you can attempt basic tricks like elevator and brain twister. You can also try harder tricks like planet hops and shoot the moon, as well as a variety of modified looping style tricks. There's a lot to explore with just the Beginner setting.
By swapping parts out with the upgrade kit, you're able to transform your ONEstar into a bind-response model, which means your sleep times will more than double, giving you more chance to practice tricks of increasing difficulty. Because the yo-yo is less responsive in this configuration, it will be up to you to use a special trick called a 'bind' to choose when to return it to your hand. Use this setting to try intermediate tricks like split the atom, barrel rolls/atomic fire, and other classics from the yo-yo boom era. Of course, you can also try your hand at new tricks that didn't exist back then, like eli hops, boingy boingy, and whips!"
The ONEstar in this exhibit was a special edition made for the professional baseball team Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Japan. The edition was supposedly limited to 500 and were likely either sold or given away at baseball games. The sides of both halves feature "The Carp Boy" who is a mascot for the Carp and only appears as the team logo; he does not have a physical costume for making appearances at baseball games. It's not clear what "Red Trick" is supposed to mean as printed on the packaging and behind Carp Boy's image on the yo-yo. Perhaps it's just a name for the yo-yo. Notice that the yo-yo came with matching team color yo-yo string and a full-color trick sheet in Japanese.
