The maple, fixed axle Hi-Ker Professional top (Model No. 39 R) features dark forest green paint, a white stripe on each halve, and a gold leaf seal on the face of one halve. Based on the packaging, this version of the Hi-Ker Professional was likely produced between 1960 and 1963.

Duncan purchased the Cheerio brand in 1954 and acquired Hi-Ker tops in 1960. However, Duncan did little to promote either brand, and by 1963, both Cheerio and Hi-Ker had disappeared from the market.

The Professional shown in this exhibit is one of the last Hi-Ker yo-yos released under Duncan. Note the similarities in packaging between this Hi-Ker Professional and the Duncan Tournament No. 77 and the Duncan Tournament No. 77 B.
