The Hey Bud artwork, created during Augie Fash’s time at Duncan, originated from raw Echo 2 yo-yos. Initially inspired by space themes and Duncan’s brand heritage, the concept evolved during a conversation with Paul Escolar. The result was a playful design featuring an astronaut and an alien as friends—what became known as the Hey Bud artwork.
This limited-edition design first appeared on a small run of Echo 2 yo-yos. It has since been re-released in full color on t-shirts and a limited-run Freehand One yo-yo, offering fans a fun way to support a meaningful project and celebrate Duncan’s legacy.
Depending on your lighting and screen calibration, this yo-yo's overall color might be described as aqua green, teal mint, light jade. solid turquoise, or seafoam green. More precisely, it falls within the range of Pantone 3258 C or something close to Hex #00C5B5 in digital color terms.
