This is the prototype Paranoia PC. It is identical to the release version in specs, but has a clear body color, which was never sold.
This is the third iteration of YJYoYo's Paranoia, dubbed "Paranoia PC", due to it's polycarbonate construction.
The Paranoia was developed by YJYoYo's founder, Yoon Jong Ki. He was tired of tedious modding, starburst wear, and breakages that came standard with most looping yoyos on the market. The Paranoia was invented to address these issues. For durability, the Paranoia is made out of CNC machined polycarbonate. To address the issue of starburst wear, the Paranoia has replacable starburst pads made out of a non-silicon based material. The final innovation of the Paranoia is its unique spacer system. Rather than the spacers be tightened against the bearing, like in standard adjustable gap yoyo, the spacers are tightened against the axle, allowing the bearing to slide freely.
The first run of the Paranoia PC was sold in neon red, neon yellow, black, and blue. The colors in the second run were neon red, neon yellow, blue, purple, and mint green. All colors were transparent, logoless, and had a blasted/frosted finish. In the first run each yoyo came loaded with 1 red and 1 blue spacer and an additional spacer set that include 1 red (1.9mm), 1 blue (1.96mm), and 2 black (2mm) 7075 AL spacers. In the second run, there were additional pink (1.85mm) spacers included and there were small changes made to the starburst. The parts are compatible with the second version of the Paranoia, the Paranoia POM.
The Paranoia was used to win the Korean National YoYo Contest in 2024.
