The Mac Typhoon from the mid-1980s (pre Hyper Yo-Yo boom, about 1984-1987) was a polycarbonate-bodied yo-yo with a fixed metal axle, starburst response, and a modified shape similar to the Yomega Fireball. Came with a booklet of "secret techniques". Manufacturer of the yo-yo was Koyo Co., Ltd. of Japan, and it was distributed by McDonald's at their restaurants in Japan.
