Cajun Spinner's Rotational Kinetic Energy Yeaux-Yeaux first released in a color-shifting red on June 19, 2023.

From Cajun Spinners:
The science of physics goes hand-in-hand (pun intended) with yo-yoing. As the yo-yo is thrown down, it rotates around its axle, the energy it generates on the way down is known as rotational kinetic energy. The formula for determining the amount of energy generated is featured on the sticker design applied to both sides of this Cajun Spinner's Yeaux-Yeaux. Enjoy!

The yo-yo in this exhibit features a color-shifting metallic red, which slightly changes hue when viewed at different angles.

This model came in the following colors:
• Metallic red, color shifting (seen in this exhibit)
• Metallic green-copper, color shifting
• Metallic blue, color shifting

Rotational kinetic energy
The equation printed on the sticker was supposed to represent the kinetic energy of a rotating object, where:

Ι = Moment of inertia (a measure of how mass is distributed relative to the axis of rotation).
• ω = Angular velocity (how fast the object is spinning; in this case, the yo-yo).
Ιω² = The rotational kinetic energy formula.

Unfortunately, the way it was presented on the yo-yo was slightly incorrect. The equation should have the equal sign ( = ) after "Erotational" to be mathematically correct. While "Erotational" is not a standard physics term, it was likely used as a creative way to emphasize "rotational energy" in a playful way by John Myshrall, owner of Cajun Spinner's. At any rate, the error was fixed on later releases. John simply removed the equation from the original design, then reprinted and reapplied the sticker.

See Cajun Spinner's corrected version of the Rotational Kinetic Energy Yeaux-Yeaux.
