Cherrio Gold Award shield patch made out of black felt fabric and flocked text in yellow ink. Compare with the Cheerio Gold Award patch also made out of black felt, but printed with yellow text.
This patch is likely from the early to mid 1950s and was purchased from a seller in Canada. It did not have a vinyl backing for ironing onto a garment. Instead, you could sew the patch onto a shirt, if so desired.
