Tommy (Tom; aka The YoYo Man) Smothers from the Panini Golden Age, Historic Signatures card collection, by Panini America. Near the lower-left and lower-right corners of the card front are the numbers "12" and "13", respectively. It's not clear what the numbers mean or why they are printed on the card. Every card in the series had those same two numbers. The card's "number" near the upper-left corner on the back of the card is TSM, the initials for "T(ommy) SM(others)".
Watch the Yo-Yo Man Hoedown (3 minutes, 3 seconds) from The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (1988-1989) that featured well-known yo-yo personalities Harvey Lowe, Dan Volk, Tom Kuhn (using his Silver Bullet) and, of course, Tom Smothers as The Yo-Yo Man. In 1988, The YoYo Man Instructional Video (in VHS format only) was released in which Tom's non-speaking "YoYo Man" character, who appeared as early as the late 1960s, guides viewers through basic yo-yo moves. Apparently, more than 200,000 copies were sold.
Tom Smothers, The YoYo Man, passed away December 27, 2023 at the age of 86.
