Lathed Back Design's Bangarang - Copper Fission - AP mini yo-yo from 2021. The "AP" in the name stands for Artist's Proof. Lathed Back Design began in early 2021 and released their first full production yo-yo in October 2021. The entire Bangarang series was 100 pieces total. It is their freshman release for this new yo-yo company based out of Calgary, Alberta.

Designed specifically to utilize the titanium to its maximum potential, it packs a punch like no other. Take it everywhere, anytime and play how you want with its three included bearing options allowing for fixed axle, semi responsive and and full modern unresponsive play all packed into the Boom Box package that we print in house to showcase this little monster! Want more? The Bangarang comes with one set of 3d printed rims and o-rings allowing you to expand its size and weight totaling 6 play options out of the box and with more coming for expansion down the line in our “OST Module” which will feature press on titanium rims so you can spark or customize your bangarang and add a little more punch to your liking! This is truly the all in wonder, a powerful pocket mini all the way up to a capable powerful full size. All designed tested and finished in house one by one. We specialize in titanium anodizing and strive to bring you the best of our creative mind while ringing tones of nostalgia. For those that 3D print we will make the STL files available for the rims so you can play around, there is no limits!"

This is the first of many in a line of expansion rim kits that will fit the Bangarang mini titanium modular return top, as well as our next few designs that are in the works so they will be universal across our line. Expand your throw and experience how many different designs in one it truly is while giving it some protection at the same time to help keep those care free times rolling. In the package you get one set of #126 O-rings, one set of the competition rim printed in glow PLA, one set of a undersized modified hour glass shape and one set of responsive looper style rims in your choice of neon PLA. 100% biodegradable environmentally friendly plastics printed in house.
Recipes on the modified assemblies of the Bangarang yo-yo:
- Competition Glow rims - 53.75mm diameter, 40.75mm width, 55g - powerful fast and predictable.
- Mod Hour Glass rims - 51mm diameter, 40mm width, 50g - light and floaty with good stability and speed.
- Looper rims - 52mm diameter, 26mm width, 49g - 'looper' says it all, extreme highwall original school looper shape, great for modern semi-responsive and fixed axle looping.
These are 3D printed so minor imperfections exist. They will also never be 100% smooth but they will also not pulse vibe and are very nice to throw. This is just a kit of rims, no return top included."
