The Pro-Z was a modified shape release with starburst response. The original design was standard shape and slightly smaller than the typical yo-yo. It seemed to fill the niche in Duncan's line that the proyo had filled.
But the Pro Z, while not very popular in the USA, was very popular in Japan. This version of the Pro-Z was a deluxe version, that came in butterfly shape, and was sold in Japan. Made possible by the Duncan spacer kits that were avalable. The kits even converted old proyos and bees to butterfly yo-yos. The kit came with response stickers, replacing the starburst response. The yo-yo came assembled as shown.
